From Yunotsu to Tokyo

Thanks to the generous support of the Embassy of the Netherlands in Japan, the artists and the organizers from Yunotsu had the opportunity to gather in Tokyo on 18 December 2025, and held a presentation showcasing the results of the program immediately after its completion.

In January 2026, the programme also featured in three special events in Rotterdam during MONO JAPAN Fair 2026, extending the dialogue internationally.

Through the residents’ curiosity, dedication, and generosity, Anne, Luke, and Gemma demonstrated deep respect for Yunotsu’s cultural layers.

Their work in AKIYA AIR 2025 highlights how immersive experience can stimulate creative development and cross-cultural exchange.

We hope these stories offers a window into their discoveries and creations, an invitation for continued conversation, support, and anticipation of future synergies.
